♥ Essential Muay Thai Training Gear
For adults and children just starting out in Muay Thai, we suggest the following for our Pro Muay Thai classes in Glasgow and to start with and we can help with advice on what your will need next:
- Tee-shirt / Vest
- Shorts and/or Leggings
- Bottle of Water
- Sweat Towel (If you are prone to over heating easily)
- Enthusiasm
Make sure to bring a water bottle to your training sessions to ensure you keep yourself hydrated throughout the Muay Thai class.
♥♥ Nice to Have Muay Thai Training Gear
If you have done any other martial arts or have a punch bag in your house, you may already have equipment you can use for our Pro Muay Thai classes in Glasgow and Greenock. The following are items that you will need to purchase at some point after you start training:
- Muay Thai Gloves or Boxing Gloves
- Skipping Rope (don't worry if you can't skip, yet...)
- Shin Guards
♥♥♥ Optional Extra Muay Thai Training Gear
The following are not vital to your Muay Thai Boxing training as Pro Muay Thai provides basic equipment for your training, but you may want to consider them, especially if you wish to train with partner outside of regular classes:
- Thai Pads
- Focus Mitts
- Hand Wraps
- Mouth Guard (a must if you want to take part in sparring)
- Groin Protector (a must if you want to take part in sparring)
- Elbow Protector (a must if you want to take part in A Class sparring)
Once you have caught the "Muay Thai Bug" and you want to buy your own personal equipment, we can help with recommendations and what you may want to buy first, from gloves to Muay Thai Pads.
Star Team Player Tip: Make sure your finger nails and toe nails and cut short so you do not rip them or cut others.
